FIRE PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER. Knightdale, NC, pop. 11,705, located in E. Wake Co. The role of a Public Safety Officer is to work as a sworn police officer and as a firefighter. Successful candidates will work in both disciplines on a regular basis.
Candidates must have a HS diploma and at least one of the following certifications. 1. B.L.E.T. or equivalent. 2. Firefighter 1 and 2 levels, Haz Mat Ops, and EMT. College degree strongly preferred.
