| Job Description: |
The Sagle Fire District is accepting resumes for the position of Fire Chief.
The Fire Chief directs, delegates, supervises and participates in ongoing operations and activities to include; Fire fighting, Fire prevention, Emergency medical aid services; Development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and procedures; Personnel management; Development and implementation of operational standards and guidelines, safety standards, training programs, fire apparatus and equipment maintenance programs; Fire prevention and public education programs; Development of apparatus and equipment specifications; Preparation and submission of such reports and information as required and requested; Represent the District to relevant political and professional organizations; Maintain the confidentiality of reports, documents and records as required by law and District policy. |
| Job Requirements: |
1. Three years of full time experience at a Chief Officer level or equivalent in an organized structural/wildland firefighting agency.
2. Possession of a degree from an accredited college or university with major work in Fire Technology or related field.
3. Knowledge of principles and practices of budget administration, personnel practices and employment laws.
4. Knowledge of practices of assessment of community needs for fire prevention and protection. |
